John Woo, Yoko Ono, Judi Dench and me: One big happy family?
I look like I belong on the red carpet, according to the www.myheritage.com website.
It says 73 per cent of the fibres of my face perfectly match the features of a certain talented celebrity.
Not just any celebrity, mind you, but Chinese film director and producer John Woo. The bigwig is known for movies such as Face Off and Mission Impossible II, which according to Wikipedia ooze 'balletic violence'. And he has a rotund face and itty-bitty eyes.
I feel anything but balletic.
Desperate, I upload a second photo. This time, my top three matches are ex-Kuomingtang leader Chiang Kai-shek (74 per cent match), 'N Sync member Lance Bass (73 per cent) and musician Yoko Ono (70 per cent).
In the photograph, Chiang does not even have hair, while my thick, black mane reaches my shoulders.
On my third try, I am told I am 64 per cent actress Judi Dench - unfortunately, not during her more youthful days, but during her substantially ripened years. My one consolation: At least Dench, while already 72, is not a man.
On my fourth try, John Woo is there to haunt me again.
I give up and trash all four photographs.
My friends who also give the website a shot are more pleased with the results.
One is told she is 86 per cent Maggie Cheung (actress). If not, then 76 per cent Beyonce Knowles (pop star). Another bears a resemblance to Taiwanese film director Lee Ang.
Lesson learnt: If you are looking for a sure way to boost your self-esteem or if you take offence easily, the website may not be for you.
Otherwise, it is an entertaining way to spend a few minutes of your day.
