How to transfer music between iPods

Since the iPod was launched in October 2001, over 200 million of the iconic portable music devices have been sold worldwide.

Chances are you already own at least one iPod in your household.

Instead of plugging in to the tunes via your feeble white earbuds and listening to Muse by your lonesome self, why not share the tunes with your friends?

Here is how you can easily transfer songs or videos from one iPod to another:

Download the free computer app iPod2iPod, which like its name suggests shares files between two iPods.

Next, check if your iTunes app is running. If so, close the application before running iPod2iPod.

Then, power up iPod2iPod and plug in two iPods to your computer via USB.
When you connect your iPod to the computer, it will take the application about 15 seconds to auto detect and display the music from your music player.

On your friend's iPod, create a playlist which is a folder so that you can transfer the music from your iPod into it.
To create the playlist, select the playlist icon and double-click on the Add New Playlist tab. The added playlist will then be displayed on the screen.

Select all the files from your iPod that you want transferred to the second iPod.

Finally, click on the app's blue arrow icon to start transferring the selected files.
