2. They're expensive, really expensive

3D TVs might not be available at electronic stores today, but they are definitely coming - industry watchers expect the first sets to make their debut as early as mid-2010.

While most manufacturers have yet to release their final prices of their new 3D TVs, one thing is for sure - they are going to be very expensive. Online retailer FocusedTechnology.com has listed the Philips WOWvx 42-inch 3D TV with a sticker price of US$8,999 (or about $12,700).

Unless you have a lot of cash to spare, chances are that you'll probably not be getting this in your living room anytime soon.
