Stand Up@Youth.SG Filmmaking Challenge: Improvisational spin

Think 'improvisation'. The competition gives a brand new spin to the usual filmmaking competitions of yore: from August 9-23, participating teams are given a Word of the Week every Thursday. Based on this word, they must shoot and submit a 45-90 sec video clip - with no clue as to how their short film will progress in the coming weeks. The next two words will only be announced on subsequent Thursdays.

The tricky bit ensues in stringing up the three seemingly un-connected video sequences together to create a coherent short film. The best team, as chosen by online votes at the end of the three-week competition, will walk away with $1000 worth of Harvey Norman vouchers. Voters and commenters also stand to win premiums.

Youth.SG now invites teams to register for the competition. Closing date: Aug 8, 12 noon.
