Over 11,500 throng games convention

Over 11,500 public visitors turned up at the first day of the four-day Games Convention Asia exhibition at Suntec City today.

They got to try some of the newest games for computers and consoles that are on display at the four-day event, which runs till Sunday.

Many of the gaming fans of all ages took a shot at games like Fifa Soccer 2008, action shooter Crysis, dancing game Boogie, dragon flying game Lair and many more.

The convention and exhibition is held in Halls 601 to 603 of the Suntec City Convention Centre, where 100 exhibitors from 13 countries are showing off their upcoming games, games services and gaming gadgets over 10,000 sq m of space.

The inaugural event is expected to attract more than 10,000 international trade visitors and journalists, and 50,000 public visitors, and is poised to lift the local games development industry to the next level.

Admission is free.
