KOTA BARU (Malaysia): An online business based in Kelantan selling pornographic DVDs and VCDs for the past two years has been smashed.

A joint enforcement team from the Putrajaya and Kelantan Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry raided a house in Jalan Kuala Krai at 10.30am on Saturday.

The 31-year-old pasar malam trader's illegal possessions were handed over to the police.

The raiding party found some 500 porn DVDs and VCDs at his house as well as Poslaju receipts, bank receipts, empty covers, registered letters and a computer.

State department director Rosli Ahmad said this was the first raid involving the online sale of porn DVDs and VCDs in Kelantan.

"Customers would place their orders through the Internet and banked in the money into his account. Only after they had sent the bank receipt as proof of payment would the goods be sent off via Poslaju," said Rosli.
