SINGAPORE - MOTOROLA Inc, the world's No. 3 mobile phone maker, said on Monday that it will buy Asian online music firm Soundbuzz.

It did not give a value for the purchase.

Motorola said in a statement that Singapore-based Soundbuzz is Asia's largest online music store, with more than 750,000 tracks available to download.

Motorola, which last year lost its world second-ranking to South Korea's Samsung Electronics, has struggled with sharply sliding phone prices and stiff competition in emerging markets from industry leader Nokia. -- REUTERS
