Were those pictures real or fake? While some of the celebrities involved were adamant that the pictures were fake, others such as actor Edison Chen and actress Cecilia Cheung, have yet to comment on the authenticity of the photos.
Not all the photos may be real, but some experts who were interviewed are convinced that at least some are genuine. Straits Times executive photographer Alan Lim believes that the pictures are genuine and AsiaOne's own web designers were also convinced that some of the photos are authentic.

Both Alan Lim and AsiaOne's web designers say that these photos are real.
Looking at a single photo alone may lead many to believe that it is fake, especially one with an angle where Gillian does not seem to have a neck. But when the photos were compared to each other, the experts believe them to be genuine. AsiaOne's web designers Lim Ling Li and Li Peijie cite the consistency of the lighting in the entire series of photos as the most obvious piece of evidence. Said Peijie: "It is difficult to find photos of the same person in so many different angles under the same lighting conditions even if you have very good (photo manipulation) skills."
Alan told the Sunday Times, "If all the faces were taken from movies and photos and stripped onto the bodies, what movies and photos would require them to have such facial expressions?"

The photographs look genuine to our experts.
Alan Lim says that some of the photographs appear to have been shot with a flash and have harsh shadows. "It is exactly what you would see if you took the picture yourself," he added.
Lim Ling Li believes that the photos were real because the similar belly ring and hip tattoos found on the Cecilia Cheung look-alike and the real Cecilia are good enough evidence.
