Police have arrested a 31-year-old man who stole 22 laptop computers worth $42,000 after breaking into an office in an industrial building off MacPherson Road last Friday.

The suspect was caught at about 7 pm on Monday in the MacPherson Road vicinity after a two-hour police operation.

He later led police to the recovery of all the stolen laptops in a house off Upper Weld Road. The suspect is expected to be charged in court for housebreaking on Wednesday.

If convicted, he can be jailed up to 14 years.
