HER review of the Apple iPhone has the dubious honour of being dubbed the 'Worst iPhone review so far' by one of the top technology bloggers in the US.
But local blogger Wendy Cheng, 23, better known by her online moniker Xiaxue, seems unfazed. She insists her review was meant to be funny.
'People take me too seriously sometimes,' she said.
The six-minute video review was recently featured on fakesteve.blogspot.com, which is run by Mr Daniel Lyons, a senior editor at Forbes Magazine.
It was made for Clicknetwork.tv, a local website which hosts streaming videos, and was produced by Munkysuperstar Pictures, a TV production company.
It begins with Miss Cheng reviewing a China-made iPhone knockoff, which the producers had given her as a prank.
She told The New Paper: 'I realised it wasn't the real iPhone only when they told me after I had finished reviewing it. I was wondering why it played weird Chinese music, and had spelling errors on the menu.'
She eventually reviewed several functions of the actual iPhone in the same video.
However, she did not try the phone functions because it is not yet available for use in Singapore.
It has been reported that SingTel may begin selling the iPhone here in September.
She is mostly unimpressed by the device and rants about it being difficult to use for people with long fingernails.
The video was picked up by Mr Lyons, who is better known online as Fake Steve (Jobs).
The real Steve Jobs is the chief executive and co-founder of Apple.
Wrote Mr Lyons in his post, titled 'Worst iPhone review so far': '(She is) from Singapore. Check out the nails. And the eyelashes. Apparently this woman is a very well-known blogger over there. God I hate bloggers.'
Several other blogs, including popular tech website Gizmodo.com, picked up on Mr Lyon's post.
The post on the website was titled 'Crazy Asian Blogstar prefers fake Chinese iPhone to the real thing'.
Said Miss Cheng: 'It was quite annoying, because I never said that.
'I am quite indifferent to the iPhone - I don't think it's very good, nor do I think it's very bad.'
She said her comments were caustic because of her feelings towards fans of Apple products.
HAUGHTY
She said: 'Some Apple users seem to think they're more enlightened. They have a haughty attitude I don't like - so I thought it'd be funny if I insulted the iPhone in my review.'
Miss Cheng said she was surprised when she found out on Wednesday that she had been featured on Mr Lyons' blog.
Her friend, former Eye For a Guy II contestant Howard Lo, had sent her an e-mail telling her about it.
Miss Cheng's video has attracted a stream of comments - mostly negative - from netizens since it was posted on Mr Lyons' blog on Tuesday.
Wrote one netizen: 'Poor Blogger Girl. Somebody tell her: When you're stupid, it's for a long time.'
Another wrote: 'Wow - This girl is a star. There are realms of idiocy out there we never knew existed. Revelatory.'
Responding to the comments, Miss Cheng said she felt they were expected of 'typical Apple fanatics'.
She added: 'I already said at the beginning of the video that I was going to give a very biased review.
'I seriously meant it as a joke.'
She has also posted a blog entry addressing those who commented on her video.
She wrote: 'You exactly proved my point. I don't like Apple users because they typically think they are smarter than everyone else and cooler than everyone else.'
But not all responses to her video were negative.
Wrote one netizen: 'That's pretty funny actually.'
Another urged viewers to lighten up.
'Cut her some slack... this video was just meant to be a casual joke,' the netizen wrote.
