THE Asean+3 Youth Festival (AYF) ended last Saturday, but the 150 international youth delegates can easily keep their friendships and memories alive - through the newly-launched features in the Youth@Asean website.
The third phase of the website was launched during the AYF's closing ceremony.
This latest phase aims to make the website more interactive.
A forum, blog and tagboard are new additions to the site.
A photo gallery, where the activities of past Asean youth programmes (such as the recent AYF) are recorded, is also in place.
The website was launched in November 2000.
The site is meant to provide a platform for Asean youths to exchange information and knowledge, and to bond.
This was also a focal point in the speech by guest of honour Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports.
He appealed to Asean youths to work together to build a better future for the region.
He encouraged delegates to "think of a future in which the young people of Asean will have peace, security, the best education possible and opportunities".
"Think of an Asean where we are united and so much stronger," he added.
After the speech, the delegates participated in a two-hour session of cultural performances.
A Japanese delegate performed the highlight of the show by dressing a Singaporean participant in a yukata, an item of traditional summer clothing.
Other Japanese delegates sang popular Japanese songs ranging from the theme song of Sailor Moon, a popular anime, to children's songs.
