Blog shops on the rise

CALL them the new kids on the blog.

They run online shops. And with incomes taking a hit because of the current downturn, more people are turning to blog shops to generate extra cash.

The lure: low barriers to entry, next to no overheads, and average earnings of $500 monthly, as estimated by one industry insider. Blog shops are typically unlicensed, casual businesses hawking everything from clothes to accessories to food.
