LOS ANGELES, US - While every Hollywood celebrity seems to be hooked on micro-blogging and networking website Twitter, actor Matt Damon has revealed that he is scared of joining it.

His reason? He's afraid of being bombarded with strange messages from his fans, reported British website Femalefirst.

"I'm actually so busy. I'm out of touch with a lot of people that I want to be in touch with, but I'm afraid to go on one of those networks," said the 39-year-old actor.

He added: "My wife did it recently, and she was so inundated that she kind of ran out of time."

Damon is not the only star to express concern about Twitter.

The site was also said to be behind Jennifer Aniston's split from musician John Mayer earlier this year, thanks to his tweeting, reported US magazine Star.

A source told the magazine that she had noticed how often he tweeted, yet he claimed he did not have enough time to call her.
