KANGAR, MALAYSIA - Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu is saddened over a Facebook entry defaming him and making fun of his mother's death.

On Tuesday, Isa lodged a police report at the Kangar police station against "Benny Mice" who had picked up an article from Bernama regarding the MB's mothers death, modified it, and placed it on Facebook claiming that she died of HIV/AIDS.

The article was posted on Facebook on Oct 20 and was followed by vulgar comments. It is believed that "Benny Mice" is an Indonesian.

Isa said the comments were to defame him and that some people in Perlis could also be behind it.

"I am surprised as I am not that well known a figure for anyone to want to defame me. My mother died of old age and not of HIV/AIDS," he said yesterday.

Acting Kangar district police chief Superintendent Ismail Che Isa said: "We will track the Facebook user known as 'Benny Mice' and find out the motive."
