The New Paper
Juiced 2

IF YOU are looking for a racing game with plenty of attitude and cheesy opponents, then Juiced 2 is your kind of game.

It will let you live out the ultimate Ah Beng dream of buying cool cars and tuning them into lean and mean racing machines.

You can 'zhng' or customise your car to painful detail - right down to designing your own unique decals.

Juiced 2 is all about the economics of street racing: You have to win a variety of races and events in order to rack up the cash.

Then you spend the money on buying new cars, or tuning old ones into super-charged machines.

In an interesting twist, you have to undertake some challenges - like complete a single lap under a time limit - to unlock car upgrades that offer better speeds or handling.

You have to achieve objectives, like winning a certain amount of cash off an opponent or reaching a specified speed during races, to qualify for the next level.

Juiced 2 also lets you indulge in activities considered undesirable by the authorities - such as betting on races or tailgating opponents so dangerously that they crash out.

The game provides the requisite blend of hip-hop, rock and techno music.

It's also not too difficult to drift and slide around corners non-stop to rack up points in order to win drift races.

Juiced 2 definitely offers more 'Beng' for the buck for those into street racing with flashy cars, with plenty of online and offline action.
