The latest addition to its running technology series, the Nike+ SportBand is built with the social runner in mind.
It records information about your run and tells time with style.
The coolest thing yet: You don't have to be a geek to appreciate it. The running coach-cum-watch is user-friendly and, at its price, it probably won't bust your budget.
Plus, it's even lighter than the 57g iPod Nano.
The getup: a waterproof wristband with a detachable base (or watch) and a small sensor.
The sensor, which fits snugly in the sole of Nike+ running shoes, registers your heel stride and "talks" wirelessly with the base, a USB memory device.
Once you're done with your workout, remove the base and plug it into a computer. The base then transmits data like distance, time and calories burned to the Nike+ website (www.nikeplus.com).
A new online tool, called Nike+ Coach, guides users on training - like the mileage they need to complete before their next event, be it a half marathon or a 10km race.
