Norton's latest batch of Internet security and anti-virus measures are now community intelligence-driven. This means that common files, such as DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries), are treated as one, which reduces the number of files that need scanning.
The new silent mode also suspends alerts and updates automatically, in case you are in the middle of doing something, such as playing video games, watching movies or working on presentations.
