THE Fujitsu S6420 is a slightly pricey, no-nonsense business notebook for the travelling executive.
At 1.9kg, it is one of the lighter notebooks in this round-up.
With its dull grey look and feel, the Fujitsu S6420 may not impress those with an eye for style.
Still, it has enough computing muscle and business smarts for the suits. For starters, it has an Intel Core2 Duo 2.4GHz processor with 2GB DDR2 SDRAM.
The 13.3-inch WXGA display makes the notebook small enough for travel but wide enough to type out a market report or prepare a boardroom presentation.
The 320GB hard drive has more than enough storage space.
I have no complaints about the keyboard, mouse touchpad and buttons - they are all sufficiently sensitive and feel nice to the touch.
On the flipside, I do have a couple of gripes over the layout of its ports and slots.
For example, the two USB ports on this notebook are too close together - getting my USB flash drive and another USB cable to fit in the spot is tight.
The notebook can run for 135 minutes before the battery runs out - second lowest in this round-up.
It scores 5.3 points for its processor performance on the Windows Experience Index and just 886 points on the 3DMark 06 graphics benchtest.
