MOTOROLA'S ZN5 is marketed more as a camera than a phone, which is a sign of the times as phone manufacturers seek to distinguish some of their phones from the hordes out there.
Megapixel-wise, the 5-megapixel ZN5may seem a little behind the 8-megapixel phones that are reaching the stores.
But sheer megapixel count is not the sole measure of a camera's picture-taking capability, nor the quality of pictures taken. ZN5 is the only phone to feature Kodak Imaging Technology, which gives brighter and more vivid pictures.
Autofocus locks in less than one second and there is minimal delay in taking successive shots - a drawback of many digital cameras, let alone camera phones. Capture modes include panoramic, macro and multi-shot.
ZN5 is optimised to work with Kodak Easyshare software and provides one-touch access to Kodak Gallery or other Web-sharing sites. Printing is also made easy, via Bluetooth, with Kodak Picture Kiosks and Kodak all-in-one printers.
