YOU will like ogling this one.

As digital photo frames go, the AVLabs' AVL964A is one of the most impressive gizmos I have come across.

Its huge 15-inch screen meant I could feast my eyes on minute details - even the dew on a flower petal.

The screen resolution of 1,024 x 768 meant that every image was crystal clear and pixelation-free.

The colour reproduction was also impressive, making the colours of the trees, flowers and sky at Hort Park come to vivid life.

This gizmo is also one well-connected device, as its five-in-one card reader supports SD cards and compact flash cards, among others.

What is interesting is that this baby lets you listen to music and watch movies via the memory card slot.

When I tried playing a trailer from When Harry Met Sally, the video loaded smoothly with hardly any distortions.

However, when I viewed a fast-paced action blockbuster, Vantage Point, the video streaming was sluggish and uneven.

Two built-in speakers pump out music clearly.

A clock and calendar display complete the multi-tasking package.

Final say

A comfortable 15-inch display that flashes pictures of impressive quality.
