iPHONE fans who are charmed by the wizardry of the device's unique user interface and applications have an alternative in the form of the iPod touch, which is in many ways an iPhone without the phone function and 3G connectivity.
The touch has wireless, Bluetooth, a similar display and comes with bigger capacity (64GB v 32GB max for the iPhone).
When in a WiFi zone, applications can be downloaded from the App Store and e-mail can be accessed. In other words, the touch can do virtually everything the iPhone does.
Although the touch is sold primarily as a music device, it is a worthy substitute/companion to the iPhone.
The latest version of the touch, now in its third generation, can store up to 90,000 photos, 14,000 songs and 80 hours of video.
