AMONG the panoply of Canon compact digitals which have hit the market in recent times, the 10-megapixel S90 stands out with its large image sensor and bright lens.

Its sharp picture quality puts to shame many Canon compact digitals, including more expensive ones and others with a higher megapixel count.

The S90 has a somewhatunique control ring around the lens, with which the user can use to adjust zoom and perform other functions. Overall design is one of economy, yet it has full functionality.

This camera may lack the fancy features of some cameras but the excellent images it captures speak for itself.
