According to the latest data released by Consumer Electronics Association, the total sales volume of the electronic industry reached US$1.06 trillion (S$1.32 trillion) in 2013, about 3 per cent higher than the previous year.

The 2013 Kindle Paperwhite is very popular, but its relatively heavy weight and low screen dimensions means it is likely to be upgraded in 2014. The former price is 899 yuan (S$180) in China.
7. Nexus 8
Google Nexus is a line of consumer electronic devices that run the Android operating system. The new Google Nexus 7 launched in mid-2013 - and it concerns a tablet device made together with Asus.
It is rumoured that the new version, with two sizes - 8 inches or 8.9 inches - is expected to be launched in the second half of 2014. Nexus 7 sells for 1500 yuan.
6. Huawei Honor 6
After the successful launch of Honour 6 in June, it will launch the unlocked SIM Honor 6 version on July 22, 2014. The product is expected to sell for 1999 yuan.
